Türkiye’s bilateral relations with Singapore date back to the early 19^th century. The first Turkish Consulate in Singapore was opened in 1865, which was followed by the first Consulate General in 1901.

Following the independence of Singapore on 9 August 1965, Türkiye and Singapore established diplomatic relations on 12 February 1969. Türkiyeopened its Embassy in Singapore on 1 November 1985. After functioning in its chancery at "20B Nassim Road" until 2004, the Embassy moved to its current premises located at "SGX Centre 1, 2 Shenton Way, #10-03".

The Embassy which functions with around 15 staff members also encompasses the Military Attaché’s Office (accredited from Jakarta) and the Trade Office.
